Borrowing
NTU faculty, staff and students can use university ID card or library borrower’s card to borrow books from the library. Books can be checked in/out, reserved and renewed at the circulation desk, and also can be checked in/out most books of NTUML by using the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system.
Returns
Borrowers can return the books at Main library, branch libraries or department libraries no matter the location library of books. Borrowers can also drop their books in the return box of the library when the library is closed. Please note the actual return date will be the next day after dropping the books.
Renewal
Borrowers can renew their books 5 days prior to the due date via online renewal(http://tulips.ntu.edu.tw/patroninfo),or by phoning Medical Library Circulation desk at 02-2356-2207, during our normal operating hours.
Online Reserves
Online requests are only accepted as the item is checked out or the status of the item in TULIPS is “in transit”, “on cataloging”, “in order processing” or “on holdshelf”. When your requested book is available for pick-up, it will display in your circulation record. All requested item returned will be on hold shelf for 5 working days. If the requester does not pick up the book during the period, the item will be moved to next requester in line or back to library stack.
