Public Performance Audiovisual Materials for in Library Use Only
Two video viewing rooms (each accommodating 1–4 users) are available on the 2nd floor. Each room is equipped with a TV, audio system, and media players, and can be reserved via the iSpace system or register on-site at i-Service. Public performance videos displayed in the Audiovisual Exhibition Area on the second floor may be brought into the viewing rooms for use. To search the audiovisual collection, please access the SLIM system.
Borrowing audio-visual materials with public performance right for educational purposes
Service provided: 9:00-16:30, Monday to Friday
Teacher, attending physician, and researcher can check out the audio-visual materials with public performance rights for teaching or research purposes. The number of items (for library use and for home use) borrowed by user will be added up to make sure not to exceed the maximum. The loan regulation including maximum checkouts, overdue fine and compensation statement is based on the one of audio-visual materials for home use. If users are unable to come to library to check out audio-visual materials by themselves, users can entrust someone to do it. In this case, authorization form, borrower’s library card and identity card of person entrusted are required.
Audio-Visual Materials for Home Use
The audio-visual materials for home use are housed in the open stacks on the third floor. The number of audio-visual materials and books borrowed by user will be added up to make sure not to exceed the maximum number of checkouts.
- For professor, attending physician and researcher, maximum is ten checkouts for seven days. Users may renew checkouts for one time. Reserving a checked out item is not allowed.
- For students, assistant professor, staff, research assistant and fellow worker, maximum is four checkouts for five days. Renewing checkouts and reserving a checked out item is not allowed.
- Overdue item will incur fines, which is NTD30 per day. Even the item is overdue for less than one day will be seen as one day overdue.
- Audio-visual materials for home use is for loan only. Users must comply with the copyright laws when using these materials. If users break copyright laws, they have to take all the responsibility for doing that.
- If users get lost of or cause any damage to audio-visual materials, they have to compensate all the loss based on National Taiwan University Book Loan Regulation.

Please return audio-visual materials to the 1F information desk instead of the Main Library, other branch libraries, or book drops.
